\nThe Obama-Biden Transition Project is requesting small groups of citizens meet together to discuss, record, an submit commentary on the modernization of the health care system.
\n
\nI am proposing that a small group of us meet one afternoon to discuss the behavioral health portion of that question. I am soliciting participation of behavioral health professionals who have experience, opinions, and suggestions about this portion of health care. I believe your ideas will be unique in the sea of those that are submitted on the broader topic.

\nIn order to focus on your experience first, I propose that we begin with the Community Discussion portion of the meeting promptly at 3 p.m. When that ends, I will offer a handout of the recently passed Mental Health Parity Law in its entirety, and a short summary that I have created detailing the main elements in the law.
